In Germany, 2007 a 63-year-old man was waging an unrelenting battle against a bunch of brutal moles that were set on destroying his luxuriant lawn. The man became desperate and as is often the case when you’re against the wall, he came up with an ingenious and sinister plan. He hammered several large metal rods into the earth and rigged them up to a near by high voltage electricity source (normal household current wasn’t enough for the aging gent). This, he hoped, would render the mole’s dens lethally uninhabitable.
We don’t know whether it had the desired effect or not, but we do know it had the undesirable effect of electrocuting the poor chap to death.
