BLM activist Sasha Johnson was one of the most polarising figures in the country when she was gunned down in Peckham in May 2021, and following rumours that MI5 were behind it, it transpired the shooting was gang-related and that Johnson was not the intended target.

At the time it was said that Johnson underwent ‘successful’ surgery and that she was going to be OK, which was good to hear, but it turns out she’s still fighting for her life in hospital and has been left with catastrophic, life-changing injuries. Her family shared this photo of her today:

Johnson lost an eye and currently has no movement down one side of her body as a result of the shooting, which went down when four masked men stormed a house party she was at. Unfortunately, the case has collapsed due to police being met with a ‘wall of silence’, which I guess is some BS no snitching mentality that suggests no one is going to face justice for destroying the life of a young mum-of-two, no matter what you personally think of her activist methods.

Johnson’s mother, Ellet Dalling, says (via Metro):

She is strong, she is a fighter and she will come and tell the story of who did this to her.

We will get justice, and Sasha will come and let us get justice.

Let’s hope that’s the case and that Sasha recovers soon, before these thugs do the same thing to someone else. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police incident room on 020 8721 4622. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or online.
