10) Giant Weta

The giant wetas are only found on New Zealand, and that’s a good thing because they look horrible. They’re harmless to humans but that doesn’t seem to help my general level of disgust when I look at them. There’s actually 70 closely related species in total on the islands, many of which are now endangered.

There’s your run down folks. And that was just the tip of the iceberg. Mother nature has some deep and dark fetishes doesn’t she?
