Looks like word got back to Salt Bae that everyone thinks he’s an absolute bell end for his antics on the pitch following the World Cup final, and so he’s shared this video on Instagram to prove that he and Messi are buddies:

Take that, haters! Never mind the fact that this video is from 2018 and was probably taken before Messi saw the bill. The energy seemed a little bit different at the World Cup final last weekend when Messi was as baffled as the rest of us as to why Salt Bae was getting involved in the celebrations and pestering the Argentina players:

Messi clearly blanks the guy and tries to get away from him, and his response is to share non-stop videos of the man on Instagram. Fair play to Salt Bae for making a name for himself and serving up delicious steaks to celebrities for a living, but he really needs to get a hold of his ego. Just because he hosted Messi, Pogba and a bunch of other footballers at his restaurant, that doesn’t give him the right to annoy them on the pitch during the biggest achievement of their careers and try to make the moment all about him. Get a grip, Cringe Bae!
