5) Gutting Time
You need to get the guts out of Thumper to help prevent him going rotten. Decomposition is never a pleasant site. Make a horizontal chop across the belly region. Make sure you don’t cut open the intestines – that’s where the shit lives, and you don’t want to get any of that on your clothes or into your nostrils… or lunch.
Get your hand in there and reach up towards the ribs. Yank out the intestines, which should come out in one fell swoop, and put them to one side. You can keep the liver and kidneys for cooking. They’re pretty delicious, if you can manage to forget what they actually are.
