There’s no denying that Pornhub is a company that likes to see its customers happy – it even sent this guy a free laptop when he broke his trying to hide a wank session from his mum. Legends.

Now they’ve taken their care sharing to the next level by launching its own save-the-whale campaign.

Yes, up until the end of February, for every 2,000 porn videos watched, Pornhub will donate 1 cent to the Moclips cetological society — a company “dedicated to saving the whales through knowledge and conservation.”

I know that doesn’t sound that much but Pornhub has received around 240 million visits since the campaign began last week. That’s $1,200 (I think, although I am shit at maths).

A press release from Pornhub said:

Launching in commemoration for World Whale Day on February 13, the company’s latest philanthropic endeavor will be a month-long fundraising and awareness movement dedicated to the preservation of big beautiful whales worldwide, including the endangered sperm whale which is especially dear to Pornhub.

Here at Pornhub, we care deeply about the environment and the preservation of wildlife.

We’re now asking our community turn their attention to – and help save – a different type of blowhole, one that belongs to a majestic species that once swelled in numbers throughout the oceans before commercial industries initiated their demise.

The sperm whale link is a bit tacky, but over all it’s a worthy cause and a pretty generous thing they are doing. So wank away my friends and remember — you’re doing it for the whales.
