Police Investigating Links To Similar Murders After Australian Man, 46, Charged With Murder Of 17-Year-Old Girl In Thailand
Thai police are investigating whether Simon Carman, the 46-year-old Australian man charged with the murder of a 17-year-old girl in Pattaya, can be linked to two unsolved murders in the area.
In both cases the victims were stuffed into suitcases and dumped in the same region.
The Thai murder case against a Victorian man has taken a chilling twist, with police now investigating possible links to two eerily similar unsolved crimes. In both cases the victims were stuffed into suitcases and dumped in the same region south of Bangkok. @BlakeJohnson pic.twitter.com/6mNRKy4A8O

These two unsolved suitcase bodies were discovered in February 2025 and September 2025, involving two unidentified adult female victims.
Investigators are cross-referencing Carman’s travel logs and apartment rentals to determine if he was in Thailand during both periods, and it should be as simple as that to determine whether this is a theory worth following, and whether Carman was a Pattaya serial killer or this was a one-off.

Meanwhile, images have been released of the friends of Tunchanok Donhomla confronting Carman at his condo after she failed to return to them. They found no trace of her…

Hours later, Tunchanok’s body was found dumped in a suitcase 10 minutes from Carman’s condo, and he was arrested at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport minutes before he tried to board a Jetstar flight to Perth.
It’s actually insane how close he was to getting away with this. If it wasn’t for her friends reporting her missing this may have gone unsolved in a place like Thailand. Thankfully her friends were not only present when Carman initially picked up Tunchanok on Pattaya’s Beach Road, but also had his address after Tunchanok sent it to them.
As of now there’s no solid evidence linking Carman to these other two suitcase murders, but we’ll have to wait and see for certain. Either way – it’s looking bleak for him.
