All eyes might be firmly on Conor McGregor Vs. Eddie Alvarez for the upcoming UFC 205 at the moment, but beyond that it looks as if the other big name in UFC is set to return at UFC 207 when Ronda Rousey is rumoured to be taking on women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes.

Rousey’s return had been scheduled for around the end of 2016 but UFC President Dana White has been typically guarded in any plans that he may or may not have involving her. However, there are a number of hints in recent times that she’s gearing up for a return and all signs seem to point to it happening.

Firstly, current incumbent women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes has stated that she wants her first title fight to be against Ronda, despite the fact that she’s had almost a year out and got dominated and knocked out in her last fight by Holly Holm. Then, if you check out this recent shot of Ronda, she looks like she’s more at her fighting weight than she has been any time she’s been pictured in the last few months:

Then, if you check out this post on Rousey’s Instagram, it seems to suggest she is back in training for at least something – she usually rolls her wraps into balls and then shoots them into the trash can from across the gym to signal a hard day’s work:

Finally, MMA expert Ariel Helwani reckons it’s happening pretty soon too:

That guy is almost never wrong about these things, so yeah, I fully expect to see it happening at UFC 207. Whether it’s against Nunes or not is another thing entirely, but people like McGregor and Rousey generally do what they want when it comes to their opponents, so it wouldn’t exactly be surprising, would it?
