Breaking Bad Star Giancarlo Esposito Says It’s Time For A ‘Revolution’ After ICE Clashes
Breaking Bad star Giancarlo Esposito says it’s time for a “revolution” as Trump’s White House fuels a “feeling of Civil War in the streets.”
The actor, 67, says some people would die, but “the rest of us” would survive. Um, you first?
Esposito says: “They can’t take us all down. If the whole world showed up… in Washington, they’ll kill a 500, 50 million or however… But the rest of us would survive… This is the time for a revolution.”
“This is time for a revolution — and they don’t even know that’s what they’re starting. We have to stand up to it. They can’t take us all down. If the whole world showed up on Putin’s doorstep or the Iranians’ doorstep or in Washington, they’d kill 500 or 50 million or however [many], but the rest of us would survive with a new [world].”
Bold words indeed. Have to say – he doesn’t really look ready for a revolution in that outfit so I wonder whether he would actually volunteer to be on the front lines in a situation like that. Unless he’s screaming “Viva la neck scarf!” or something.
Still, if he goes full Gustavo Fring mode, then who knows? Lose the fancy scarf and switch up the eyewear and you might even take him seriously.
Maybe he’s playing some kind of revolutionary in his next project and is in method actor mode? Maybe he saw One Battle After Another and got excited? I don’t know. But as always great to have another celebrity tell the rest of us how it is and what we should do about it. Cheers Gus!
