Ray J Says He Has Months Left To Live: ‘I F***ed Up’ And ‘2027 Is Definitely A Wrap For Me’

Every time we blog about R&B singer Ray J it seems to be bad news, but this time, I’m afraid it’s the worst news of all for the Kim Kardashian sex tape co-star.

In a series of alarming health updates on his socials, Ray J said his heart is functioning at only 25% and has “turned black” due to damage.

The singer claimed doctors informed him he might only have months to live and stated, “2027 is definitely a wrap for me”.

He attributed his deteriorating health to years of extreme substance use, including heavy drinking and Adderall abuse, admitting, “I f***ed up” and “I shouldn’t have went this hard”.

Earlier this month (January 2026), things got worse when he was hospitalised with a severe case of pneumonia and heart pains.

According to TMZ, he is currently taking eight different medications (including Lipitor, Jardiance, and Entresto) and has been told to prepare for the possibility of a pacemaker or defibrillator. 

Now, I don’t want to minimise this man’s struggle, but from what I can see online, many people appear dubious and are accusing Ray J of a ploy for sympathy after he was filmed threatening the mother of his kids with a gun during a livestream. That was pretty wild for sure.

These people will probably feel like d1cks if Ray J does end up kicking the bucket in or before 2027, but I guess you can’t blame them for being suspicious.

After all, it takes a f**k ton of alcohol and Adderall to destroy your heart by age 45. How much was he abusing exactly? Was he also caning a load of coke too?

Best of luck to the guy because at the end of the day, he’s someone’s father and son and brother (Brandy’s, in fact), even if he may be of questionable character. I’m not sure what can be done about a heart beating at 25%, but hopefully there’s something.
