Concept Cars - Ford Nucleon

I’ll end this weird and wonderful wander with concept cars with the Ford Nucleon. This beast was designed in 1958 as a prediction of what the future may hold for cars. The Nucleon was planned to be powered by a small nuclear reactor in the rear of the vehicle and use a steam engine powered by uranium fission. So that’s how good humans are at guessing what the future holds I suppose. Not very good at all. But that’s the point isn’t it, if we could guess exactly what was coming next it would be as boring as Bono.
