In one of the best examples of someone getting a taste of their own medicine in recent memory, The Tinder Swindler Shimon Hayut has been conned out of close to five thousands pounds via a fake Instagram account.

Ever since the release of ‘The Tinder Swindler’, Hayut has struggled to confirm his social media presence amid countless fake accounts popping up claiming to be the real Simon Leviev/Shimon Hayut. A woman recently  slid into his DMs and claimed that her boyfriend worked for Meta and could help him out with this and Hayut proceeded to FaceTime him in order to confirm that he was indeed who he claimed to be.

Apparently the guy had seen ‘American Hustle’ though because all he needed to do to convince Hayut that he was a Meta employee was talk to him whilst being in a crowded office and Hayut was the more than willing to send over $6664 in order to get that precious little blue tick on his account. Unfortunately for him the pair were major blaggers and deleted their accounts as soon as they had received the money. Ouch.

Hayut’s manager then contacted Meta to see if these people actually worked for the company and their worst fears were confirmed – The Tinder Swindler had been swindled himself. Loser.

Of course, £5000/$6664 is probably peanuts to a man who regularly managed to convince women to give him about five times as much money as that daily, but it’s still nice to see such a twat get narked over so easily. Seems like other than this everything is going pretty well for the guy though, which isn’t great. Guy needs to go to jail again.

For more of the same, check out the Leviev family actually suing Hayut. Hopefully this one actually sticks and the guy has all his money taken away from him.
