CHEAP GIRLS – GIANT ORANGE
Cheap Girls – despite probably being the most boring live band in the history of live music – sure as hell know how to write a good pop rock song. Ian Graham’s voice might not be for everyone but if you can get past it then. This is their third album and I only picked it up today but it sounds as if the songwriting is better, Tom Gabel’s production is beefier and the hooks are just that much catchy. I couldn’t find a studio version of the song I wanted on YouTube yet so you’ll have to make do with an acoustic version. It’s still pretty rad though. I just wish Ian Graham looked like he gave a fvck about anything for once in his life.
