I don’t think anyone out there wants to accept that incest is a good idea, but after having four children with his sister 44 year old German Patrick Stübing is determined to try and change everyone’s opinions.

In fairness to Stübing, although this is pretty disgusting it’s not as rank as it first sounds. It turns out that he didn’t grow up with his sister following his adoption and tracked down his biological family when he was 23 years old.

I’ve read about siblings experiencing deep attraction to each other after being apart from each other for extended periods of time – I think it’s called genetic sexual attraction or something – so maybe you can’t really blame Stübing and Susan Karolewski for something that’s rooted in their genes, but maybe they don’t need to campaign for the legalisation of incest? They could probably live fairly low key lives and nobody would even bother them to be honest.

That’s not the case though and they even went to the Court Of Human Rights in 2012 but had their case dismissed. Anyway, this is what Stübing had to say about his decision to begin campaigning:

I became head of the family after my biological mother’s death and I had to protect my sister.

She is very sensitive but we helped each other during this very difficult period and eventually that relationship became physical.

I didn’t even know we were doing anything wrong and I didn’t realise the legal ramifications involved in their relationship.

Our mother would not have approved, but the only ones who should judge us now is us.

Yeah I’m not sure if that is true because the pair have four children and two of them are disabled because there’s a much higher chance of this happening when siblings procreate, so I think most people would judge them for going through with that. the consequences are very highly publicised.

Interestingly though, incest is still illegal in Germany despite their campaign and the pair are still living there without any real consequences. Not sure how that works.

Even more interestingly, incest is apparently now legal in France, Turkey, Japan and Brazil. Not sure if that was anything to do with Stübing’s campaign, but it’s kinda rank that they’ve allowed that? What are the advantages/why? Didn’t realise the incest issue was so progressive in some places. Really strange.

For more of the same, check out this really rank incest story that just should never ever have been allowed to happen. Seriously.
