Finally, after 5 long years of featuring in Sick Chirpse articles, the Somerset Gimp is finally being brought to justice after terrorising women around the South West of England in his gimp suit.

Joshua Hunt, 32, is charged with ‘leaping out’ at his shocked victims while wearing a rubber gimp outfit, though he denied two public order offences in North Somerset Magistrates’ Court this week.

As per Metro, Hunt, of Brook Farm, Claverham, Somerset, had approached two lone females on May 7 and May 9 this year in the Bleadon area, and ‘used threatening and abusive behaviour’ that led both victims to fear violence would be used against them.

As Hunt pleaded not guilty, his case will be heard against next month. In the meantime, he’s banned from wearing a mask or possessing one in public, cannot wear black all-in-one clothing, or visit the areas the offences are alleged to have taken place.

Next time, might be a good idea to join some kind of club, online or otherwise, where he can arrange to meet up with likeminded weirdos who want to get dressed up in gimp suits together in private, rather than freak out innocent women in the middle of the night. Then again, it sounds like the ‘freaking out women’ part was most of the appeal, so I’m not sure there’s a club for that.

I’m just glad we won’t have blog about this guy every again. Although… it looks like there’s at least one more copycat gimp about.
