Man Decides He’ll Live With His Mum Until He’s 50 And Never Work A Full-Time Job Because It ‘Isn’t For Him’

Living at home with your mum while unemployed at 50 isn’t typically something to take pride in, but an Aussie dude named Anthony Voulgaris is happy to admit that this is his long-term plan because full-time work simply ‘isn’t for him.’

“I don’t think full time work is for me. Yeah, personally not for me. I would like to sit here and provide reasons, but there’s not many. I just don’t personally – I don’t think it aligns with my beliefs, you know, my belief system. And you can’t force someone to believe what you believe so yeah.”

Um, can’t argue with that? It follows a video he uploaded earlier this year when the TikToker said he’ll stay at his mum’s house ‘as long as [he] can’:

“I get free food, I get my washing done for me – that’s lucky, a lot of people don’t get that – I’m not moving out ever,. If I can stay here until I’m 50, I will. I’m slaving off of these people and I’ll continue to do so, happily.”

Alright for some eh? Naturally, Anthony is getting absolutely roasted all over the internet but at the same time, there’s a fair few people in his comment section that agree with his philosophy, which I guess is a sign of the times. I’m not sure how Anthony is going to be able to pay for going out or buy the things he wants, but I suppose he did specify that full-time work isn’t for him, so maybe there’s a part-time gig on the horizon. When you take away rent and bills which his mum has covered, maybe he’s saving as much as the rest of us? In fact he may even be rolling in it if his mum sorts him out with pocket money as well.

Either way, it’s probably not conducive to a happy life to be living at home with your parents at 50, so he might change his mind if he ever wants to get laid, let alone get married and have kids. We’ll have to check back in with him in a few years and see how it’s all going.
