The rumour was initially started by Weinstein himself, who had allegedly told an unnamed actress during a meeting in 2013:
“Do you even want to be an actress? I slept with Jennifer Lawrence and look where she is; she has just won an Oscar.”
Well, that’s a load of BS as far as Jennifer Lawrence is concerned, and I think I believe her tbh. Lawrence had previously said about Weinstein:
“My heart breaks for all the women who were victimized by Harvey Weinstein. I have never had anything but a professional relationship with him. This is yet another example of the predatory tactics and lies that he engaged in to lure countless women.”
He sure enjoyed being photographed with her:
Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison for rape, sexual abuse and sexual misconduct, and an appeal fell flat on its face in June 2022. His lawyers are now attempting another appeal, which I’m sure will flop also. The guy is finished and rightfully so.
