A paramedic who was part of the team who rushed James Gandolfini to hospital after he suffered a massive heart attack in Italy back in 2013 has been accused of stealing his watch.

Claudio Bevilacqua, 43, is said to have snatched ‘The Sopranos’ star’s $3000 Rolex Submariner from his wrist as he lay dying in the Boscolo Luxury Hotel Exedra.

Two members of the hotel security team had noticed his watch was missing and Gandolfini’s family later filed an insurance form reporting it as stolen.

Gandolfini had been on holiday with his wife and 13-year-old son when he collapsed in the bathroom of his suite, days before he was set to collect an award at the Taormina Film Festival.

The paramedic has yet to enter a plea and his trial has been delayed until November.

I’m not sure there’s a more diabolical thing you can do than steal the watch off a guy who’s dying right in front of you. Extra diabolical considering it’s your job to show up and save this guy’s life, not steal the Rolex off his wrist. And to do it to Tony fucking Soprano of all people? In Italy no less? Guy must have a death wish. Only a matter of time before Paulie and Silvio hear about this and pay this guy a visit.
