A top-tier Call of Duty: Warzone duo have officially split after pro gamer Blazt slept through a $400,000 tournament, providing the sorriest explanation ever in the Tweet above. Yup, Blazt says he fell asleep at midnight and didn’t wake up until 3pm. That’s 15 hours of sleep!

Blazt left his Warzone partner MuTeX out to dry, which is too bad because they are one of the best duos in the Warzone world series and had a legitimate chance of winning that $400k. Below are the Tweets from poor old MuTeX leading up to the tournament wondering where the hell his partner was…

Naturally, MuTeX soon began to worry. When you can’t get hold of your partner on the most important day of the Warzone calendar, you start to wonder whether there’s been a tragic accident or something. There’s NO WAY his teammate could sleep through this opportunity to win $400k, right?

MuTeX ended up having to play solo in a Duos as he waited for Blazt to turn up, but eventually had to team up with some random from his chat named ‘Christophertremb’.

Well in the end Blazt was OK; he had simply overslept on the most important day of his gaming career. Understandably, MuTeX is now looking for a new Warzone partner…

The question on everyone’s lips is – why didn’t Blazt set an alarm? Well, here’s why:

Well clearly that was a dumb move and a costly one at that. I don’t care if you naturally wake up at 7am every morning – if you’ve got an important event the next day you set your alarm regardless just in case. Can’t help but feel awful MuTeX who was counting on his partner to turn up and be there for him at the very least. Oh well. Good luck to MuTeX and whoever he selects as his next Duos teammate.
