This is really cool. It’s a bit like the art of dead wrestlers, but not really – I mean they’re similar in the fact that they both feature artwork associated with wrestlers but completely dissimilar in that the art of dead wrestlers was cartoon pictures of dead wrestlers, whereas wrestling albums is just your favourite album covers replaced with pictures of wrestlers. And you’ve got to admit that that is pretty funny.
The whole thing is the brainchild of the edgiest superstar artist Rob Dobi and he has produced countless examples of his craft over on his wrestling albums tumblr which you can find HERE. In the meantime, here are a few of my favourites. I think he might even accept user submissions, so you know if you’re feeling edgy why not submit one of your own and see if it makes it up there. You never know.
