Adam Thomas Breaks Down In Tears As He Reveals He’s In Therapy After David Haye ‘Broke’ Him
I know David Haye was giving Adam Thomas a hard time on I‘m A Celebrity, but I didn’t realise how much emotional damage he did to the guy until reading this.
The Emmerdale star was on a podcast earlier when he broke down in tears over the way Haye treated him – and revealed he’s now in therapy:

On his experience with Haye: “I know for a fact that I’m not the same person as I was when I went into the jungle to when I came out.
“It’s changed me and that’s no over exaggeration. I’m in therapy now because of it.
“It’s f***ed with me mentally because I just thought, ‘how is this happening? I’m a 37-year-old man’ and I’m like, ‘how am I letting some other person do this to me in here?’”
“I said to my therapist, ‘why didn’t I stick up for myself?’ and it was because I was always putting other people’s feelings first before mine because I didn’t want to bring any attention to this.

“I just took it and took it and took it until eventually it got to a point where I was like, ‘I’m literally at breaking point here.’
“I remember saying to him, ‘I can’t talk to you anymore bro, if you’re not gonna apologise for what you did’, and I reeled off all the things that he did and he knew exactly why he did it.
“I was like, ‘are you not gonna apologise?’ and he was like, ‘I was trying to teach you a lesson’ and I was like, ‘I don’t need a lesson off you bro’.”
Haye did apparently end up apologising, but it sounds like Thomas still has some demons to deal with over it. I mean, it’s bad enough being bullied and emasculated by another man and not feeling that you can stick up for yourself, but having it play out on TV as entertainment just makes it even worse. Then again, he is a famous TV actor, so maybe it’s not that bad.
Fair play to Adam Thomas for being big enough to talk openly about it despite the fact people will no doubt be taking the p1ss out of him over it. Best of luck to the man as he works through it!
