Trump’s Deputy Assistant For Counterrorism, Julia Varvaro, Under Investigation Over ‘Sugar Daddy’ Relationships
Trump’s Deputy Assistant Secretary for Counterterrorism, Julia Varvaro, is under investigation over claims she funded her lifestyle through “sugar daddy” relationships. Would Trump really hire someone like that? Come on now.
The claims were brought forward by a former partner, identified as “Robert B.”, an executive who filed a formal complaint with the DHS Inspector General.
Robert B. claims he spent approximately $40,000 on Varvaro over a three-month period, including luxury travel to Aruba and Italy, high-end shopping, and jewellery. Get it, girl!
The complaint alleges Varvaro maintained a profile on the sugar daddy website “Seeking” under the alias “Alessia,” using the tagline “seductive sophistication”.
Robert B. expressed concerns that Varvaro’s alleged “financial stress” and lifestyle choices could pose a blackmail or national security risk.
Naturally, Varvaro denies this and claims Robert B. is a bitter ex who’s trying to ruin her life. She maintains the two met on Hinge and were in an exclusive, consensual relationship, and that accepting lavish gifts and holidays from someone you’re dating isn’t inappropriate.
Furthermore, she denies ever having an account on “Seeking”. Which is weird because Daily Mail claims they saw the profile and that it was swiftly deleted after they reached out to Varvaro for comment. Probably just a coincidence?
It does make you wonder what the casting hiring process was like for this one though. I mean, 29 does seem pretty young to be a top terror official, doesn’t it?
This Robert B. guy also makes a good point about national security; if this woman is basically willing to ask strangers for cash and gifts to spend time with her, is she really above selling intelligence?
Just another joke of an appointment in the Trump administration, at the end of the day. He really does pick the best doesn’t he?
