“Do Not Come Jail” – UK Rapper ‘Mover’ Warns Young People As He Serves 30-Year Sentence

UK drill rapper Mover is currently serving a 30-year sentence for stabbing a man to death for his fake Rolex outside St Mary’s High School in Hendon, north London, in 2014. From the sounds of it, he’s managed to figure out what a stupid decision that was.

Mover AKA Terngu Agera, now 33, has been serving his sentence since 2015 at HMP Frankland, and has now put out a message speaking on the harsh conditions in jail and warning young people “Do not come jail” – like it’s a house party they were thinking about attending:

Welp, that doesn’t sound good. Obviously those are very serious allegations that should be looked into, but I’m not sure he’s going to garner too much sympathy for himself given the reason he’s in jail in the first place.

On the bright side, he’s clearly got a phone and internet access in there. I mean, you may as well break the rules when you’re on a life sentence anyway.

In fact, Mover has even managed to release several music projects from prison that have wound up on Spotify and iTunes and picked up millions of streams. Pretty crazy that he’s able to do that, especially given that he references the crime in his lyrics, for example: “took the rap for the M but we both got life” and “murder squad got me 30 locked”.

In 2016, a video surfaced showing Mover recording music directly from his cell. This led to a Prison Service investigation into the use of illicit mobile phones and a £2 million investment in detection technology to block such activity. Doesn’t quite look like it’s working eh?

Mover will be in his early 50s when he first becomes eligible for parole in 2045. I’m not sure how that’s going to work out for him given he’s breaking so many rules in there already, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.
