Influencer Couple Terminates Pregnancy After Down Syndrome Diagnosis

Influencer Jesse Ridgway (known online as McJuggerNuggets) and his wife Ashley Ridgway are currently going viral after informing the world that they have terminated their unborn child following a down syndrome diagnosis.

The New Jersey-based couple, who first shared they were expecting a child in March this year, posted a series of emotional statements on Instagram explaining their choice…

Now I’d never heard of these people before today and I’m sure they suck in a myriad of different ways, but if you believe in the right to abortion then you might be able to respect that they came to this decision for the long-term benefit of their family.

Still, it’s pretty wild that we live in a time where they can go so public with the details and make content out of it. Although I guess the only other alternative after keeping their millions of followers in the loop for so long would have been to pretend they ‘lost the baby’ or something. Besides, maybe it’s a nice gesture for viewers who can relate or have been through something similar.

No doubt they will have known the sh1tstorm that would come their way; with a section of the internet calling them satanic baby killers and saying they should be thrown in jail and whatnot. Hey, it’s the internet – people are always going to be nasty about this sort of thing.

Most of the online world does seem to be supportive of their decision, though. Best of luck to Jesse & Ashley as they heal from the experience and here’s hoping they have better luck on the next try!
