Son Of Ukrainian ‘Crime Boss’ Kidnapped In Bali In $10,000,000 Dispute
This story is absolutely nuts. Igor Komarov, 28, was kidnapped in Bali a couple weeks ago by some people who said his dad, a Ukrainian crime boss, had stolen $10,000,000 (£7 million) from them.
The kidnappers broke Igor’s legs, cut off his fingers, tortured the hell out of him, and forced him to film a bunch of hostage videos disclosing how his family’s business scams people.

In one of the videos, which we can’t share here, he tells his dad to pay the $10,000,000 debt/ransom to ensure his release.
Well, it seems his dad did not pay, because dismembered remains (head, torso, leg) that appear to belong to Igor Komarov were found on a Bali beach yesterday (February 27) in the Gianyar district. While DNA tests are still underway, the tattoos match, so it’s probably a matter of time before the remains are confirmed to be those of the missing Ukrainian.
As per The Sun, Indonesian police are investigating and have arrested 6 foreign suspects (Ukrainians/Russians, probably – loads of them out there).
Crazy to think it was his influencer girlfriend, Yeva Mishalova, who blew his cover by sharing their location on social media…
Mishalova posted a number of photos of their luxury holiday, including a boat trip, Valentine’s Day celebrations, and the location of the resort they were staying in.
According to reports, she was present when Igor and another friend were ambushed while riding motorbikes. Mishalova was unharmed and the friend managed to escape and alert Bali police, although clearly they did sweet F-all about it.
Just goes to show how serious the fallout from organised crime can be. One minute you’re chilling on a resort in Bali with your influencer girlfriend, and the next you’re being dragged off your bike, tortured and held for ransom for millions of dollars. Whoever these people are, they clearly were not f—ing around.
RIP Igor and thoughts with his friends and family.
