Sarah Ferguson’s Charity To Close Days After New Jeffrey Epstein Revelations

Sarah Ferguson’s charity has been shut down days after it emerged she had kept up a friendship with convicted paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.

If you read over the website for Sarah’s Trust, Ferguson has travelled around the globe with her charity doing lots of work with vulnerable children. Which probably isn’t ideal when one of your best pals is the most notorious child sex offender in the world.

In a statement this week, Sarah’s Trust said: ‘Our chair, Sarah Ferguson and the board of trustees have agreed that with regret, the charity will shortly close for the foreseeable future.’

‘This has been under discussion and in train for some months.’

Fergie came under fire over the weekend after a load of her correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein was leaked as part of the latest Epstein file release. Among them, e-mails calling him the “brother I have always wished for”, asking him to marry her, complaining that he was using her to get close to Andrew, and referring to her daughter Eugenie going on a “sh*gging weekend”:

The dates of the e-mail suggest Fergie remained in contact with Epstein after he was registered as a sex offender and was sentenced to jail in 2008 for soliciting prostitution of a minor.

Aside from the dodginess of a Royal running a charity while being pals with a convicted paedophile, we also know (thanks to Peter Mandelson) that another of Epstein’s attributes was his ability to use charities as tax loopholes.

Back in 2011, Ferguson had said in an interview that her involvement with Epstein had been a “gigantic error of judgment”, after he was jailed for three years for soliciting prostitution from a minor.

At the time, she assured she would never have anything to do with Epstein again, saying: “I abhor paedophilia and any sexual abuse of children.”

According to the Epstein leaks, it turns out Ferguson “humbly apologised” to Epstein for her public denunciation not long after.
