Ant And Dec Apologise After Huge Backlash Over ‘Sickening’ Podcast Advert
Just in case you thought Ant & Dec weren’t getting enough screen time, they’re now bringing out their own podcast titled ‘Hanging Out with Ant & Dec.’
Unfortunately, an advert they shared for the podcast launch (since-deleted) has been described as ‘triggering’ and ‘deeply disappointing’ after the pair appeared to ‘mock suicide’.
The ad opens with their feet hanging suspended in mid-air as Dec’s voice is heard asking: ‘Did you agree to this?’..

It then cuts to just Ant’s feet as his voice responds: ‘No, I thought this was your idea.’
In the end, it pans out and shows they’re just hanging from a clothesline…

‘Hanging out with Ant & Dec’ – get it? Well anyway, this was the general reaction on social media:

Wow, a couple of those got really personal, didn’t they? It wasn’t long before Ant & Dec’s people deleted the advert from their socials and issued the following apology on behalf of the duo:
‘We did not mean to cause any offence with this promo video and we are sorry if it has upset anyone. We have taken on board the comments and have deleted the video.’
Now they probably didn’t intend to offend anyone with that imagery, but this is the year of our lord 2026 and so naturally it was going to offend a whole bunch of people. In fairness, they really should have seen it coming in this day and age, but who knows? The cynical side of me reckons they might have even done it to drum up some attention to the pod online.
After all – did you even know this podcast was a thing until now?
The podcast is set to launch on January 22 if you’re really clamouring for more Ant & Dec in your life.
