Rockstar Games Grants Early Access To GTA 6 To A Terminally Ill Fan
Rockstar Games has apparently granted early access to Grand Theft Auto 6 to a terminally ill fan after their his family shared his story publicly.
A guy named Anthony Armstrong posted on LinkedIn that a close family member was battling terminal cancer and was not expected to live until the game’s official release date in November 2026. He later updated the post suggesting that Rockstar Games had reached out and granted his family member his dying wish:

How awesome is that? I can’t imagine how horrible it would feel to be a diehard GTA fan and be waiting for 13+ years for GTA 6 to release, enduring all the delays and whatnot, only to then realise you won’t be able to experience it. F–k cancer, seriously!
Whatever has been arranged seems like it’s a nice thing, so big ups to Rockstar Games. Apparently it’s not the first time they have done something like this; in 2018, another terminally ill fan was given early access to Red Dead Redemption 2 weeks before its official launch.
Now all they have to worry about is whether this lad is going to leak any details from the game before he passes on. I know they’ll have an NDA in place, but really what’s stopping him? Rockstar are so paranoid about this sort of thing that their lawyers are probably triple-checking to make sure this guy really will be dead before the game releases in November.
What if – by some miracle – he ends up surviving? Well, then I guess Rockstar will probably kill him themselves. He’s seen too much.
For the rest of us, there’s always the new zombie horror survival game set in Birmingham to tide us over till November.
