6) Stonefish

Now this guy is a real git. He is a master of disguise and sits on the bottom of the sea, or amongst coral, virtually invisible. Waiting for an unsuspecting diver to come a cropper.
He’s the most poisonous fish known to science. The spines on the fish’s back carry a toxin that causes swelling, necrosis of tissue, paralysis, shock, and ultimately death.

The stings are treatable, but if you’re diving and accidentally come across one you’re going to find it pretty tricky to get back to the boat when your muscles stop working. At least with a snake you know what’s coming, this stonefish character just seems really mean to me.
