3) Asperatus
Officially asperatus isn’t a cloud type yet. No new cloud formations have been added to the official list since 1951, but the head honcho of the Cloud Appreciation Society (of which I am an honorary member, thank you very much) are trying to get this changed. These amazing end-of-the-world looking clouds occur mostly above the plains of the US and are often friendly with stormy conditions.
