The most commonly occurring roll cloud turns up in Queensland, Australia every few days throughout October each and every year; this relatively high frequency gives hang gliders the chance to wait for it, like the Red Bull fella above.

Roll clouds are caused by stormy down drafts and weird coastal winds.
