Two actors who don’t like each other? COVID protocol? Zero chemistry? I need to know why Jonah Hill and Lauren London didn’t just kiss each other like every other trained actor on the planet and needed to waste time and money on CGI to make it happen. It’s not like they couldn’t get them in the same room together, because co-star Andrew Schultz says in the clip above that they filmed the kiss scene and stopped just short of locking lips. So what possible explanation could there be?

Some people are theorising that since Lauren London was widowed in 2019 (her husband was the late rapper Nipsey Hussle), kissing another man in a rom com may have come too soon for her. Not sure this is the case though, as she was happy to smooch Michael B Jordan in 2021’s Without Remorse:

Definitely Without Remorse with that kiss. I’m actually a little bit sad for Jonah Hill if the reason this kiss is CGI is because Lauren London straight up did not want to lock lips with him. I guess it’s lucky for her (and the CGI team) there weren’t any sex scenes involved.
