We all know WWE is a far cry from how it was in the Attitude Era 20 years ago, where Sable and Trish were having ‘Bra and Panties matches’ and pushing the sexual boundaries of what they could get away with on TV. In the current PG era, a female wrestler can get fired just for having her nudes leaked online, as former NXT champion Mandy Rose found out this week.

As per Forbes, Rose’s release comes in the wake of several nude photo and video leaks from her FanTime page, which is a paid content site similar to OnlyFans. According to WWE though, just the fact she had a FanTime account was a problem in itself. WWE officials “felt they were put in a tough position” based on the type of content Rose was posting on the account, feeling like it fell “outside of the parameters” of her WWE contract.

Which I guess is understanbale if they feel like that sort of thing is detrimental to advertisers and the family-friendly image they put out there these days. Not ideal when one of your superstars is entertaining children one minute and slinging nude pictures on the internet the next. I’m sure they make this clear to the wrestlers too, so I don’t know why Mandy Rose felt the need to risk her career over this? Although I guess making thousands of dollars from a few sexy pictures is hard to pass up when you’ve got 3.4m followers on Instagram.

Still, I hope WWE re-thinks their position on this and lets Mandy Rose return to the ring. Yeah OK it might be against their policy but at the same time, who cares? Let your wrestlers make some money on the side and if there’s any blowback then deal with it. It’s not like she’s missing any shows in order to take her sexy shower pics or whatever. Plus she’ll probably make more money devoting her time to FanTime or OnlyFans than she ever would working for WWE. Come on Triple H, think it over!
