I just don’t know what’s going on here, you can look and look, and you won’t find the reasoning. I have tried, I have stared, I have failed. I mean, there was no such thing as a chance shot in those days, you sat still in the exact position you wanted to be pictured in. So I’ve made up my own little story: the older lady is blind, the backwards man is disfigured, hence the blind wife. The younger lady is the daughter and she is the one that wanted a family shot for the album. The lady doesn’t care either way as she can’t see and the disfigured hubby said he would only go along if he could face the other way. I’ve made this up. But I am now taking it as truth so that my brain can stop looking for answers…. but why is she holding a broom? FUCK! Too many questions.
