5. The Rock
The Rock should have been a bad guy for much longer than he was, but there was infinitely more money in marketing him as a good guy. His ‘heel’ run was good while it lasted though — as probably the best talker in wrestling ever, no one could rip you apart on the microphone like he could. When he’d ask other wrestlers what their name was and cut them off by saying “it doesn’t matter what your name is”, you’d actually see them shrink into shells of their former selves.
