8) Flattery Will Get You Everywhere
People love hearing what they want to hear, that sounds obvious but it’s pretty potent stuff here. You want the person you are “reading” to go away feeling positive. If you’ve said to them:
…basically I reckon you are a failure who is going to continue failing for the rest of your life. Oh yeah, and then you’re gonna die
You might be right, but the client isn’t going to give you positive feedback. No one wants to believe they are a failure. Even if they really are. Say things like this instead:
- Your romance will turn out
- Your financial situation will improve
- You are hardworking, wise and fair
Weave these positives into the main body of your reading so that they flatter without appearing gushing.
