French artist JR visited this abandoned hospital in New York’s Ellis Island as part of an exhibition titled ‘Unframed — Ellis Island’ which will soon become its own public tour.
He took life size photos of Ellis Island immigrants and pasted them along the interior walls of the building, and the results are no only poignant, but also pretty damn terrifying.
