Getting blasted in the face with a fire extinguisher is probably a lot healthier than smoking a cigarette, but one smoker who didn’t appreciate getting his face sprayed off this week was Jon Bird of Salt Lake City, Utah.

He uploaded this clip onto Facebook showing restaurant owner Alex Jamison confronting him outside a public plaza for smoking near his restaurant:

Need to get his info. Assaulted me and ran from the scene before the cops showed up.

Anyone know any attorneys that can help? Never thought this would happen.

Bird says he was in the area helping to organise an arts festival, and had been told by a security guard that it was fine to smoke in the area.

But Jamison disagreed with this, claiming that Utah state law forbids smoking within 25 feet of a business entrance.

Anyway, Bird has now hired an attorney to pursue an assault claim. I’m pretty sure he could have avoided a face full of foam if he’d just gone Don Logan on his ass:
