Rishi Sunak has only been Prime Minister for a couple of months, but he could be heading the same way as Boris Johnson and getting found guilty of breaking the law whilst in that position of power after he was filmed in a moving car without wearing a seatbelt.

Sunak was on his way to Lancashire to talk about his levelling up campaign when he addressed the camera about his plans for an Instagram video, but eagle eyed viewers quickly noticed that he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt whilst riding in a moving vehicle. Lancashire Police confirmed late yesterday that they were aware of the incident and they were conducting an investigation, whilst Sunak himself dashed out the following quick apology via a spokesman:

The PM fully accepts this was a mistake and apologises.

The Prime Minister believes everyone should wear a seatbelt.

It was an error of judgment, he removed it for a short period of time to film a clip, which you’ve seen, but he accepts that was a mistake.

Well, I doubt he’s gonna get out of this one but even if he does what exactly is gonna happen? He’ll get a slap on the wrist and maybe a small fine. Who cares? I doubt this is gonna turn the country against him or anything and seems like kind of a pathetic thing to have a go at him about. Maybe take a look at some of his asshole policies instead?

For more of the same, check out Rishi Sunak saying that he’s a coke addict. Incredible banter.
