English Tourists

When I see a gaggle of tourists from another country staring blankly at the tube map whilst stood directly in the way of 8,000 commuters I think “Aaaahhh… poor guys, it’s proper confusing. I hope they find their way soon”. But when I see a group of English tourists doing the same thing, I am instantly enraged. They should know better.

Tourists from this country know the queuing system, they know that on the escalators you stand on the right and pass on the left. They know the language, they can read the words. They have no excuse for getting in my way.

A lot of people probably hate London because of some kind of deep-seated xenophobia; personally I reckon it’s the foreign folk that are London’s saving grace. They give the place a bit of pizazz amongst the grey suits, grey skies, grey skins and black hearts.
