So Billie Eilish recently halted a concert to tend to a fan who was having an asthma attack in the audience. As it was all going down, Eilish seemingly took a swipe at Travis Scott, who infamously kept performing while audience members were crushed to death during the tragic Astroworld festival in November.

As staff attended to the struggling fan, Billie announced “I wait for people to be OK before I keep going”…

Turns out Kanye West isn’t happy about Billie Eilish throwing shade at his buddy, and sent out the following message on Instagram the other night:

Come on Billie we love you please apologise to Trav and to the families of the people who lost their lives no one intended this to happen.

Trav didn’t have any idea of what was happening when he was on stage and was very hurt by what happened and yes Trav will be with me at Coachella but now I need Billie to apologise before I perform

Billie replied in the comments of the post, saying:

Literally never said a thing about Travis. Was just helping a fan.

Which is true, in fairness. I mean it’s fairly safe to assume that she was referencing the Travis Scott incident but given she didn’t technically mention him, there’s really nothing to apologise for. Besides it’s not like there’s actual video footage of Travis Scott seeing an ambulance moving through the crowd and telling the crowd to raise their middle fingers before starting another song, right?

Not saying that what happened at Astroworld is Travis Scott’s fault – it wasn’t – but come on, he dealt with it very poorly (not to mention his history of encouraging dangerous behaviour at shows), especially compared to a pro like Billie Eilish who will literally stop the music to make sure everything is OK.

Kanye West is threatening to pull out of Coachella if Billie doesn’t apologise, which it doesn’t look like she’s doing to. Will he stay true to his word? I’m guessing he’ll get over it by the time April rolls around…
