I’m not really sure how Jared Leto is still popular in Hollywood and is still a legitimate movie store as there are countless accounts of him being a creepy doofus and also just being downright annoying, with another one of these going down last night at the Met Gala.

In case you’re unaware, the Met Gala takes place on the first Monday in May and is an annual fundraising event that takes place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City that for some reason has turned into the most prestigious and glamorous fashion event of the year. The central theme of the  2023 edition was the late iconic German designer Karl Lagerfield and so one wacky celebrity though it would be really cool to turn up in a full body suit of his cat Choupette.

Nobody knew who was behind the mask for a hot minute, but it didn’t take too long for the celebrity to reveal himself as Jared Leto, with everyone taking to social media to talk about how it was such an obvious and annoying move from the guy. Here’s some of the best reaction, including the big reveal video and some clips of Leto in his costume after he ditched the cat outfit which seems to be a leftover piece from a 00s nu metal video. Make sure you watch the Aubrey Plaza clip too:

OK, so in the interests of fairness, there were quite a few people that thought his outfit was iconic and/or super cute too, but I think it’s way funnier to just post the ones where nobody likes him or whatever because the guy completely sucks. That’s just the way it is.

Anyway, some other people probably dressed up in dumb outfits and went to the Met Gala too, but Jared Leto has succeeded in getting everyone to talk about him and being the main character of the event with his silly costume, which I’m sure is exactly what he wanted. Hopefully we can just raise awareness of him being a massive tool through this though rather than give him too many props about it.

For more of the same, check out when Jared was really upsert following the success of Joaquin Phoenix’s ‘Joker’. Cry me a river buddy.
