The ‘Insidious’ series is one of the most terrifying of the past decade and it’s no surprise that the latest instalment ‘Insidious: The Red Door’ looks like it’s going to be the scariest experience yet.

Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne return after being absent from the last two entries and are joined by a grown up Ty Simpkins as Wilson’s son Dalton for ‘The Red Door’. The pair of them look like they’ll be heading back into The Further to confront some more demons and I’m not exaggerating here when I say that even the trailer to this one will have you peeking through your fingers.

Don’t watch this in the dark:

In Insidious: The Red Door, the horror franchise’s original cast returns for the final chapter of the Lambert family’s terrifying saga.

To put their demons to rest once and for all, Josh (Patrick Wilson) and a college-aged Dalton (Ty Simpkins) must go deeper into The Further than ever before, facing their family’s dark past and a host of new and more horrifying terrors that lurk behind the red door.

Yeah that’s going to be a hell of a doozy isn’t it? Don’t think I’ve ever even seen a trailer that made me as scared as that one. There were about three jump scares in it alone – how many are there gonna be in the movie?

Interestingly, the story comes from Leigh Whannell who wrote the first movie and it’s also Patrick Wilson’s directorial debut too. Never really pegged him as a horror director but if he had anything to do with the trailer then it looks as though he’ll probably be able to handle it. Drops July 7th.
