One of the most pleasant surprises in the world of horror over the last few years has been Danny McBride and David Gordon Green’s reboot of the ‘Halloween’ series actually being fairly decent and it looks like they’re going to conclude it in style if the trailer below is anything to go by. Vague spoilers below.

Anyone who saw ‘Halloween Kills’ might argue that it was a completely pointless movie to even release as it was essentially Michael Myers killing the whole town on his way to fight Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Stroud, but it did build up the tension leading up to that confrontation and it looks like that will finally be released in ‘Halloween Ends’. Take a look at the trailer and see what you think:

Four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir.

Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since.

Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life.

But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.

Err so that trailer and synopsis seem to be about two wildly different movies don’t they, but I suppose there can be some differences in presentation there. Seems kinda strange that the movie wouldn’t start immediately after the events of ‘Halloween Kills’ considering how that ended up, but let’s trust in McBridge and Green to make this a good one and ‘finally end the saga’. Lol, sure.

For more of the same, check out this movie ‘Come Play’ from a couple of years ago which I described as the perfect Halloween movie. Anyone wanna challenge me on that?
