Girlfriend Of Ukrainian Kingpin’s Son Who Was Murdered In Bali Speaks Out

The influencer girlfriend of the Ukrainian crime boss’s son who was kidnapped and murdered in Bali over a $10,000,000 dispute has finally spoken out.

To recap: Igor Komarov, 28, was kidnapped in Bali back in February by some people who said his dad, a Ukrainian crime boss, had stolen $10,000,000 (£7 million) from them. The kidnappers broke Igor’s legs, cut off his fingers, tortured the hell out of him, and forced him to film a bunch of hostage videos disclosing how his family’s business scams people.

In early March, Bali police confirmed that body parts washed up on the beach belonged to Igor. The kidnappers had executed and dismembered him.

According to reports, it was Igor’s girlfriend, Yeva Mishalova, who accidentally blew their cover by sharing their location on Instagram. True-crime channel Lazy Masquerade said ‘anyone keeping an eye on the couple knew exactly where they were’.

In a video shared recently, Mishalova finally broke her silence, addressing her followers with tears in her eyes.

She said (translated from Ukrainian): “I have been in silence for a long time. I want to sincerely thank everyone who supported me. I am currently going through a very difficult period. I spend most of my time either with my family or by myself. I am working with a psychologist, trying to recover, listen to myself.”

“I am cooperating with the investigation. Please do not spread rumours, do not dispel. f*cking content and respecting my boundaries. Now I’m not going back to my usual rhythm. I only mark my presence very carefully. Thank you to those who are around in human way.”

Later on she shared another update thanking people who had offered ‘care about my condition’ and ‘words of support’.

She said: “Because I can go to bed feeling like there’s no life, and then the next day I can wake up thinking I need to pull myself together. That’s why it comes in waves. Each person experiences their loss in their own way.”

That’s fair enough really. Was it a little naive to share photos of their whereabouts in Bali on Instagram (if that is indeed what she did)? Probably. But how was she to know that her boyfriend’s dad’s enemies also happened to be holidaying on the Indonesian island at the same time? That’s just bad luck really. Unless… they took a flight out there just to catch him? I guess that’s possible too.

It’s also unfair to accuse the girl of intentionally setting her boyfriend up, but then this is the internet and that’s what people are going to do. As she says, she’s cooperating with the investigation so we’ll have to wait and see what comes of that. Something tells me these gangsters are big players who are going to get away with it, though.
