Venezuela’s Genesis Rodriguez Gomez collapsed at the Pan-Am Games the other night in the middle of her clean-and-jerk lift. Literally passed out right in the middle of her routine.

Always pretty scary when a weightlifter almost kills themselves mid-weightlift, that’s why it’s actually healthier for you to just sit around all day and never lift weights at all. OK your lazy lifestyle will probably mean you drop dead of heart failure before your 60s but at least you’ll never break your neck trying to lift weights on national TV – so who’s the “healthy” one really?
