Edie Falco, who we all loved as Carmella Soprano in The Sopranos, has come out with one of the most ridiculous statements of all time by claiming she thought that Avatar 2 had already been released and flopped at the box office, because she filmed her scenes for the movie so long ago.

Falco told ABC:

“I saw the first one when it was out, and that’s going back some time. And the second Avatar, the one that’s coming out, I shot I think four years ago. And then I’ve been busy doing stuff and somebody mentioned Avatar and I thought, ‘Oh, I guess it came out and didn’t do very well.’ Because I hadn’t heard anything. I thought, ‘Oh, well it happens!’”

I mean, there’s just no way she genuinely thought that, is there? She never thought they might ask her to do press or show up on the red carpet for the premiere? Don’t forget she lied about Tony’s $40,000 in the bird feeder too. Doesn’t she have a TV, social media, an agent or manager that would keep informed about these sorts of things?

Then again, maybe she genuinely gives that little of a shxt about the Avatar franchise outside of shooting it and making sure her cheque clears. Not to mention the last few years have been one giant blur and so maybe she did think it came out on Netflix during the pandemic or something and won’t have been a big deal. She better just hope James Cameron doesn’t take her comments to heart like he seems to take everything else so that she gets a gig on Avatar 3 too.
