It’s been a good few years since Osama Bin Laden was found and killed in his own private stronghold and whilst I doubt that many of us had really been wondering what was on his hard drive to keep him entertained during those lonely days spent in hiding, I’m sure that we’ll all get a bit of a hoot out of this list that has just been revealed.

CIA Director Mike Pompeo shared the news, saying the following:

Today’s release of recovered al-Qaeda letters, videos, audio files and other materials provides the opportunity for the American people to gain further insights into the plans and workings of this terrorist organisation. CIA will continue to seek opportunities to share information with the American people consistent with our obligation to protect national security.

He then went on to tell us that Bin Laden had a whole bunch of dumb stuff on his hard drive, including the Mr. Bean movie, Tom And Jerry cartoons, Antz, Chicken Little and the Charlie Bit My Finger video. There was also a lot of videos about crocheting on there too, which is kind of a weird hobby for the leader of a terrorist organisation to have, but I suppose you’ve gotta spend your days in isolation doing something, right?

Bin Laden was also really interested in himself, having several movies and documentaries about himself on his computer too. Sure, there were a whole load of files relevant to Al Qaeda and that, but this was the stuff that we found the most relevant/weirdest about this file dump. Here’s a few of the other files as well as some other dumb ones that were found:

And I suppose in fairness we should note that Bin Laden’s wife and kids were with him in his compound, so it’s highly likely that the kids could have been enjoying the cartoons and his wife was learning about crocheting, but it’s way funnier to think of Bin Laden whittling away his hours watching ‘Tom And Jerry’ whilst crocheting, right?
