Most of us know all to well about pesky government drones over head, spying on peaceful and law abiding citizens. But technology can be used to abuse or heal humanity.

A European based school called TU Delft has developed a high speed medical drone capable of travelling up to 100KM/H. According to TU Delft, a drone can reach the patient in about 2 minutes, much faster than standard emergency services. Their current model has a built in defibrillator that can be activated remotely.

In the video you see all the features of their services and to be frank it’s freaking mind blowing. Eventually the creators plan to have drones for various emergencies like, drownings, traumas, diabetes, and respiratory issues.

Technology like this is what people want. Low cost, fast, and reliable. We can shape the future to be better for everyone if we only put forth the effort and promote amazing concepts like this one.

Check out the video demo below:

Some critics will no doubt give you a million reasons why this can’t or won’t work, but let’s be honest, there is no one size fits all solution. This type of technology is best suited for cities and rural scenarios due to travel times for emergency services to arrive. It could augment current infrastructure to help save more lives. If enough drones are set up around an area, they will no doubt be a major life saving tool for a region.
