Sacha Baron Cohen Has Reportedly Wrapped Filming On A New ‘ALI G’ Movie
Booyakasha! Here’s something no one saw coming – Sacha Baron Cohen has reportedly wrapped up filming on a brand-new Ali G movie entirely in secret.
The surprise project was filmed without any leaks and will mark the “voice of da yoof” character’s return to the screen for the first time since 2002’s Ali G Indahouse.
Plot details and a release date are currently under wraps, but what we do know is that the film will feature Ali G’s classic “man-on-the-street” prank interview style, as I suppose it’s been long enough now that many will be unfamiliar with the character.
We also know it was filmed across England, including Oxfordshire, as well as in the US.
Sacha Baron Cohen may no longer be the loveable, big time superstar he was back in the day (quite the opposite), but there’s no denying his contribution to comedy in the 2000s.
Aside from being a bit of a pr1ck, he’s also a full-on Zionist, which won’t exactly endear him to many of the people who you’d imagine are the target audience for an Ali G return.
As far as I know, Sacha Baron Cohen hasn’t done anything funny in years, so it will be interesting to see what he’s come up with here. The project was so secret that they haven’t even got a distributor yet, but I’m sure that will be no problem and it should be out within the next year.
Hopefully it’s worth watching, although I would have preferred a new Borat, to be honest. Jagshemash!
